GARTREE DIVISION

In 2009 the LibDem vote evaporated (down 24%) from the 2005 figure
with a 21% swing to the Conservatives.

With a Labour candidate, some of the previous support for the LibDems
in 2005, when there was no Labour candidate, moves across.

With a majority of 71.7%, the difference of 2,130 votes is the biggest
individual win by a candidate across all 55 County divisions in 2009.

The eco-town campaign most likely added to the turnout and support.

Turnout was 27% down on the vote in 2005 when there was a General
Election held on the same day.

Thank you to all those who voted for me and supported me during
