Harborough District CAB provides a generalist service where anyone can visit or telephone for advice and information on any subject. The advice provided is independent, free, confidential, and impartial to everybody regardless of race, gender, sexuality or disability. The trained bureau staff, who are mainly volunteers, give advice to over 4,000 people each year on a broad range of subjects including money matters, relationships, housing, consumer issues, benefits, education, health and employment. It can also offer specialist help with financial problems and represent clients, where necessary, at social security and employment tribunals.
Following on from last year's successful event, this important Good Friday Christian occasion is being celebrated on 9th April 2004 through Churches Together in Leicester City Centre, a group of 10 City Churches, and includes a re-enactment of the arrest, trial, mocking and crucifixion of Jesus by SWORD.  It is to take place in Leicester  City outside the Town Hall, along Gallowtree Gate before finally ending on Humberstone Gate for the crucifixion scene.  This will be followed by a time of worship and a short address by the Bishop of Leicester.
